Downtown Nanaimo (CHSA 4241) is 14 km² in size and is a neighbourhood of the city of Nanaimo, located in the east coast of Vancouver Island. It is comprised of downtown Nanaimo, Newcastle Island, and Protection Island. Major establishments include Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, Nanaimo Museum, Nanaimo Harbour, and Vancouver Island University. Provincial parks include Newcastle Island Marine Provincial Park.
